About Allycin
Allycin Tims has always felt the most at peace when she is baking, and she has always dreamed of opening her own bakery. She used to fulfill custom requests in her hometown as a hobbyist, and once she and her husband moved to Vancouver, Washington in 2020, she started working toward her dream of officially starting her own business. Equipped with a Cottage Food License, Allycin does all of her baking from her home. This means she delivers all of her orders personally!
In 2021 Allycin and her husband welcomed a baby into their lives! As most parents understand, getting anything done with an infant can be a challenge, let alone establishing a business. Shortly after her baby was born, Allycin was back in the kitchen, finding her joy, while her baby was lulled to sleep by the sound of the mixer echoing through the house.
The name The Hummingbird Confectionery comes from Allycin's special connection with hummingbirds. Aside from her husband and baby, hummingbirds and baking bring her the most joy! Not only does she feel a connection to these birds, but it seems that they feel a connection to her, as she often experiences them coming to her for safety when injured, or staying still to study her face.
Allycin is a philanthropist at heart, and each month she chooses a family to donate a cake to. Some of her recipients have overcome incredible challenges, like beating cancer. She hopes to spread as much joy as she can with her bakery.
